As January unfolds, many of us are embracing rest and healing instead of diving headfirst into the usual resolution hustle. And honestly, what a refreshing shift! But as February approaches, here’s a thought: What if this year we focused on goals that truly transform us from the inside out?
Instead of zeroing in on external achievements—like changes in appearance or productivity—why not explore deeper, more internal growth? Consider:
- Understanding your triggers and how they shape your reactions.
- Building emotional resilience and a greater sense of calm.
- Rewiring thought patterns for lasting peace and clarity.
If this resonates with you, let’s take a look at how you can work on these goals, starting with small, intentional practices.
One beautiful way to support your inner and outer wellness is with the adaptogenic herb, ashwagandha. (Read here for more on ashwaganda)
Ashwagandha has been used for centuries to help balance the body’s stress response. Modern research backs this up, showing that it can reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and even boost energy over time.
However, it’s not an overnight fix. Think of it like planting a seed—you’ll need to water it regularly before you see results. While some people notice a sense of calm or better sleep early on, the full benefits, like improved energy or hormonal balance, often take weeks or even months of consistent use.
Before jumping into the ashwagandha bandwagon, keep in mind that this herb isn’t for everyone. I’m not a medical professional, and this blog isn’t meant to offer medical advice. If you’re unsure whether ashwagandha is right for you, consult a healthcare provider first, especially if you:
- Have an autoimmune or thyroid condition.
- Are taking medications for blood pressure, diabetes, or immune function.
- Are pregnant, nursing, or have known allergies to plants in the nightshade family.
Everyone’s body responds differently, so go slow, listen to your body, and always prioritize safety.
Prepare for February with Inner Growth Goals
This month, we’ve been focusing on the beautiful truth that you’re already loved and treasured. As February nears, it’s the perfect time to think about goals that nurture your inner world.
Ask yourself:
- What triggers me, and why?
- How can I respond to stress with more grace and resilience?
- What new habits could help me feel more grounded and stable?
To help you get started, I’m inviting you to my free Zoom session, “Triggers Unpacked,” on January 26th at 2 PM Pacific. Together, we’ll explore the roots of our triggers, build awareness, and create a foundation for meaningful internal growth.
